After removing the old kilns and clearing the space out the barn required building work to be taken place. The renovation was undertaken by local builder Shaun who did an amazing job adding custom windows, concreting the floor and doing every other odd job that was requested of him. First the floor was concreted and the roof windows were put in, with three new custom windows created and installed, including the triangle window at the front of the barn.
After this the walls were sand blasted to reveal the underlying masonry work and the electrics were put in. The feature wall was plastered, the lights and alarms were installed and the name was put on the outer walls. Once this was completed the barn just needed to be filled with local artists work to complete the Art Barn.
